REFERENCE BIBLE STUDY GUIDE

2. Romans 4:6-7 – God imputes “Righteousness without works.” (See #9, #4, #45, #7, #12, #53)

9. Romans 4:3 – Abraham’s faith, not works, “Was counted unto him for righteousness.”

10. Romans 4:4-5 – Works are “Not reckoned of grace, but of debt.” Faith is counted as righteousness.

16. John 1:12-13 – Only God’s power, through His only begotten Son, makes us a true BORN AGAIN Spirit-filled, Blood-brought, Blood-washed child of God. We are not born into God’s family by “Blood” (heritage, family ‘pedigree’), “Nor will of the flesh” (good works/religious works/flesh works/bad [EVIL] works), “Nor will of man.” (minister, or man-made religion), “But of God.” (See #12, #53, #21, #17, #22, #46, #15)

We all have to BELIEVE and TRUST Jesus Christ for salvation, and Him ONLY. (#46, #12)

26. 1 John 5:13 – If your salvation depends on a lifetime of good works, then why does the Bible teach that you could “KNOW” for sure, before you die, that you are going to Heaven? The answer is because salvation does not depend on you, but on Jesus Christ, who ALREADY paid the ultimate price for your sins. (See #87)

27. Hebrews 1:3 – “He had BY HIMSELF purged our sins.” He does not need help from us! (See #15)

34. Hebrews 9:28 – “Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many.” God would not accept good works.

83. Matthew 18:11 – Jesus came “To save that which was lost [us].” Why? Because we still CAN NOT even save ourselves. Otherwise, why send Christ to die for our sins if we could pay for them ourselves? (See #53, #8, #86, #76)

84. Acts 15:10-11 – “Through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved,” not through works. Grace is not works; works is not grace, as explained in Rom. 11:6 (see #90, #1, #53)

85. 2 Corinthians 5:21 – “Christ was made sin for us…that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” Why trust our own “righteousness” if God offers to impute us His own righteousness? (Rom. 4:22-24)

101. Hebrews 6:1

IF you were to die today, are you 100% SURE you would go to Heaven? The Bible says YOU CAN BE SURE (1 John 5:13). BUT FIRST, you must realize that what keeps you from going to Heaven are your sins, because:

“…your iniquities [sins] have separated between you and your God,” Isaiah 59:2

In fact, in God’s own eyes, YOU ARE A SINNER:

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” Romans 3:23

SECONDLY, you must realize that there is NOTHING you can do to save yourself and earn Heaven:

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

Water Baptism, by being a good person, church membership, self-righteousness, having Christian parents are all examples of good works that STILL cannot save you, because:

“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he [Christ] saved us,” Titus 3:5.

THE ONLY WAY you can get saved is through only Jesus Christ. He said: “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6)

THAT’S WHY:

“…while we were yet sinners, Christ
died for us.” (Romans 5:8-9)

THEREFORE: You must REPENT (TURN OR CHANGE YOUR MIND/BELIEF) TOWARD GOD ABOUT SALVATION! Admit that you are a Hell deserving sinner and can not save yourself. And call upon Jesus Christ for salvation, and only Him by faith, to save you from the Lake of Fire and Brimstone.

“if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus [REPENT], and shalt believe in thine heart [TRUST] that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9

John 3:14-18 King James Version (KJV)~

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

1 Corinthians 15:1-8 King James Version (KJV)~

1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:

6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.

7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.

8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.

Revelation 5:9 King James Version (KJV)~

9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
